30 Seconds to Mars - Metro Radio Arena

Tuesday, we had my stepson for the night.

Wednesday was time out at work (the surgery closes for a half day and we staff go off and do training).

Thursday - Sunday
This week was Doctor Who's 50th Anniversary, and we managed to catch up with Mark Gatiss's docudrama An Adventure in Time and Space (which was fantastic and had me crying by the end). I also went round my friends for a nice catch up.

Friday, we had Thomas so that was spent doing my nails for Doctor Who (In the Navy - Bourjois). The World Book Night books were also released today, a day early and there are some great ones.

Saturday was The Day of the Doctor and we went to our local Cineworld to see it (I have never seen it so busy and people were dressed up as Matt Smith, was fantastic)

Sunday, meant to be a lazy day but I had some retail therapy using my boots points (Boots Points Haul)

Week #46

Sorry for my late posting of my Weeks but I had such a busy week I never had the time to do anything.

So here goes for week 46:

Monday - Wednesday
Monday was quiet, had the monthly QOF meeting (Meaning more work to be done ready for April 2013).

Tuesday was the yearly Inter-Surgery Quiz (this is all t;he surgeries in the area join up for a local quiz night in aid of local charities) and this year we won, both our teams came 1st and 2nd (Carmel Sutra and Sore Losers)

Wednesday I had a hospital appointment for an ultrasound so spent 6 hours fasting.

Thursday we went to see Lumiere at Durham (as well as Sunday, we took my mum and dad with us)

As you can see there were some great installations (Full blog post coming soon)

Friday was quiet.

Saturday was my nephew's 21st party so Saturday was a mad dash of getting nails done, sorting hair out.

Sunday was Lumiere again to catch some of the things that we missed the 1st time around.

My Week #45

Welcome to my Week #45

Week #45 Part 1
Week 45 Part 1

The first half of the week was busy, I had three days off of work, so it was spent, in the local town centre shopping (naturally).

Tuesday we went to a furniture scheme to have a look for a new bed frame as ours broke and we managed to pick a nice one up for £60 and it doesn't have wooden slats its a metal mesh which is fantastic.

Wednesday, was spent in Middlesbrough shopping, and we went to see Thor: The Dark World, brilliant movie (review to come soon).

Week #45 Part 2
Week 45 Part 2
Thursday, and it was back to work, but on the evening I had to get myself sorted out as I was going out on Friday night, so I needed to find my hair straighteners and straighten my hair, and paint my nails (My Vampire is Buff - O.P.I) to match my outfit.

Friday was spent at work, and on the night I went to my partners work do, it was a leaving do for one of their staff and partners had been invited. We ended up leaving at 10PM as my partner was feeling under the weather and he just wanted to curl up in bed.

Saturday was spent having a lie in before we had to go and collect my stepson, and try to keep him entertained.

Sunday has been spent just having a really lazy day of doing nothing, barring blog write ups, blog planning for the week and typing up my blog posts.

thanks for tuning in

Week #43

Welcome to Week 43.

Let's get on with the show.

Week 43 - Part 1
The start of the week was quite quiet, had the regular tuesday meeting, and was scanning all day Wednesday.

The last part of the week was busier I started earlier on Thursday as we had time out so it allowed for me to finish earlier which is always good.

Friday I changed my nail polish colour and put on Essie's After School Boy Blazer (A review will be going on my sites Beauty Skool Dropout and Nail Polish-ed).

Saturday and Sunday were spent with my stepson, we ended up in Clarks getting his feet measured (he has grown so we need to get him some new shoes).

You may have noticed through my week I had little post it flags, I have added these as a reminder for blog posts that are due during the week, it's to help keep me blogging regularly, and not leave really long gaps between my posts.

Thanks for tuning in

Week #42

Welcome to Week 42.

I'm getting back into the swing of posting on a Monday, but for the next couple of weeks I'm gonna try posting my new weeks on a Sunday (it means I have more time to spend on the post)

Week 42
Week 42

As you can see again Week 42 was an empty week. It was flu week again so massively busy at work but Monday afternoon I started to get a sore throat and on Tuesday I ended up with a full blown cold, so Tuesday onwards was taken as sick days from work (so expect my next My Week post to be completely packed with work to do's and blog posts to do)

Thanks for tuning in

Week 41

Cosmetics Clear Out

Now I was in Boots today, and bought myself some new cosmetics (post to come soon), when I realised that my make up was due for a clear out, a lot of it I haven't used for ages and with some of it I couldn't remember when I'd bought them (think that is the moment when you should throw them out)

I have two bags containing cosmetics, one big vanity case from Primark and a vanity case from Argos (primark one contains cosmetics that I don't use all that often, and the argos one contains my current favourites)

I did a search on the internet to see what really is the shelf life for certain cosmetics and when they should really be thrown out, and I was quite astonished to see that mascara was only good for six months.

So here is my cosmetics clear out (just in time for payday)

Cosmetics Clear Out_1
Cosmetics to throw (They have been here awhile)
As you can see there was a massive amount of cosmetics that needed to be thrown (i buy them then don't use them, I should really wear some while I am at work but i'm just lazy in the mornings)

I went through both bags and decided which needed to be thrown (which was a lot of mascaras) and piled them up in a tub ready to go straight to the bin.

Cosmetics Clear Out_2
Current Cosmetics that I use
Once I cleared everything out it all fitted into my Argos vanity case (which is completely tiny). As you can see I like easy to appy eyeshadows that you can take with you, especially when on a night out (they say they last for hours but sometimes that is just not the case).

Cosmetics Clear Out_3
Cosmetics Plan
While I was clearing out my cosmetics I came up with the idea of creating a plan of what items I had bought and when they were due to be thrown out, this would then stop me from creating a huge collection that would then have to be binned because I've hardly used them (and maybe save me some money as well.

Week #34

Welcome to Week #34

Week 34_1
Monday to Wednesday
Another busy week, Monday I was off ill, and it was also the Newcastle vs Man City match (which was diabolical 4-0 come on!!!) Monday and Tuesday was spent round my partners parents as he needed a new car and was buying one off of his dad. Wednesday was spent at the cinema seeing Elysium starring Matt Damon (Review coming soon)

Week 34_2
Thurs to Sunday
Thursday was a training day at work so that was spent logging my colleagues on a new staff intranet system and then spent updating said system with the common numbers that we use.
Friday was a quiet day, we had Thomas (my partner's little boy) over the weekend.
Saturday was the start of the bank holiday, Saturday we had a trip to Redcar (the weather was a bit crappy but we still had a good time) we went up the Redcar Beacon and Thomas went on some of the rides they had there.
Sunday was spent sorting our bedroom out we now have two rooms to move freely around so it was time for a move around.

Week #32

Welcome to My Week 32,

Week 32_1
Week 32 Part 1
Monday to Wednesday was somewhat busy especially at work, we had a holter test that had to be downloaded and sent off but due to scheduling conflicts between me and the HCA it had to be moved a couple of times

I also decided that I need to update my book journal (I take a notebook with me at all times to write up notes about the book so that when I come back to do a write up I always have notes about the story and the characters) Am way behind with updating it so that was a main priority on Tuesday. I have been using an ARC notebook as my book journal but I have read 70 books so far this year and it just can't take anymore pages so I was needing too buy some A5 poly pockets at the weekend and a A5 lever arch file to fit it all in.

Wednesday, me and my partner went to see Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa (I will be doing a review soon on this) It was absolutely hilarious go and see it if you havent yet, I was crying with laughter.

Week 32_2

Thursday was a quiet day the cats had an appointment at the vets for their boosters and a couple of treatments.

Friday was spent worrying about needing to program a holter test as the HCA who does them is on holiday and there was a request from the GP for a patient to have one done. I also had a meeting regarding an information package that we are putting into use at the surgery, and at lunch time I was told I shouldn't have been in (I actually had the day off and totally forgot about it), but instead of wasting half a day I just stayed in for the rest of the day and added it back onto my hols.

The weekend was spent relaxing as last weekend was quite a stressful one, I headed into the town centre and at the Art Shop I came across some Alice in Wonderland Stamps and I stood there for 5 minutes thinking wether I should buy them or not (as you can see I did and they look fantastic). We took my stepson to see Newcastle Diamonds vs Redcar Bears (a huge win for us 58-37)

Thanks for tuning in

Week #31

Welcome to My Week 31:

Week 30_1
Monday to Wednesday
The start of the week was quite quiet (this was mainly due to the fact that payday was on Wednesday, and both me and my partner were both skint)

To celebrate pay day we decided to do an Orange Wednesday and go and see The World's End (The final in the Cornetto Trilogy starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost) - A brilliant movie and I will do a review on that soon.

Week 30_2
Shopping List for the Metro Centre
On saturday we were heading for the Metro Centre, so I had to keep a shopping list of what I wanted (i got everything but these kraft stickies from Paperchase, they seem to have stopped selling them, and I have lost the pack I had - so so so gutted)

Week 30_3
Thursday to Sunday
Thursday was my partners birthday, so we had a little celebration with a cake, and then we were back out the door as we had to head to my friends to get my partylite order (may post re partylite, their candles and especially their melts are fantastic).

Saturday was spent at the Metro spending a small fortune, and Sunday was the biggest day of the Doctor Who calendar, Who was going to be playing the 12th Doctor. This was later revealed to be Peter Capaldi (I am honestly looking forward to what Peter Capaldi can bring to The Doctor, don't get me wrong I loved David Tennant and Matt Smith, but Capaldi can take this into a whole new direction)

My Week #30

Welcome to My Week #30.

I am now somewhat back on track with posts (More to come of the Filofax Photo-A-Day, Weeks 3+4)

This week I am calling my Skeggy Week (due to the fact that I was in Skegness most of the week)

Welcome to Skegness
Welcome to Skegness
Week 30_1
Week 30 - Part 1
The weather was fabulous (we did have some thunderstorms, but they cleared really quickly which was fantastic), so on Monday we headed towards the beach to relax (I read Amy: My Daughter - Mitch Winehouse, a very sad book regarding Amy Winehouse's life and her battle with drink and drugs).

We also took Thomas to a dinosar themed park called 'Lost World', it wasn't too bad but me and my partner think they were still building most of it while we were there (this theory was confirmed by news report on the local news when they were opening).

Me on Skeggy Beach
Me on Skegness Beach
As you can see the sun was out in full force. We did spend some of the week at Fantasy Island due to Thomas having a weekly wristband

Week 30_2
Week 30 - Part 2

The holiday camp we were staying at had their own arcades that dealt out tickets, so we spent some time acquring tickets for thomas to get an Angry Bird cuddly toy (2,000, but we ended up getting 2,876 tickets overall)

On the Friday, us adults got day wristbands and managed to get on some of the rides at Fantasy Island, I was overjoyed to get on the Millenium rollercoaster as the last time I had been on that was with my grandfather years ago.

We came back on Saturday, but spent some time on the sea front as the local RNLI was having an open day and were launching their rescue boats at 3pm

Skegness Lifeboat Day
RNLI Skegness

We had a good last day, my mum won a bottle of wine, we watched the launch of the rescue boats, and had a last ice cream of the holiday.

Overall last week was a great week.

My Week #29

I know my Week 29 is a bit late but I was away last week with family, so better late then never:

Week 29_1
Week 29 - Part 1
Most of the week was spent packing for our trip, so it was a very quiet week. I did go to a Partylite Candle party again and roped myself in to having my own party as well.

You can also see that I have used the travel checklist from Lime Tree Fruits, this was brilliant as it made me excited for my holiday and allowed me to make a list of things that I was going to need.

Week 29_2
Week 29 - Part 2
We went Saturday morning to Skegness, and spent the time in a caravan (wasn't as bad as I thought it would be). The camp where we were staying had pantomimes on every night so we took my stepson to most of these. We also spent some time at Fantasy Island (a theme park), where we got my stepson a weekly wristband for him to go on the kids rides.

Thanks for tuning in
