Bargain Notebooks

I was in Waterstones a while ago and my partner came across these notebooks:-

Bargin Notebooks
Bargain Notebooks
I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that they were selling these for 10p each, so I had to get 1 or 4.

Peacock
Yellow Peacock Notebook
The yellow notebook contains loads of peacock illustrations and the paper feels very lovely.

R+T Notebook
R + T Notebooks
I was looking for one of these notebooks with the letter G on for my name but only managed to find T and R (These have some significance. My partner's surname starts with R, and my stepson's name starts with T)

Spiral Notebook

This notebook inside looks fantastic and may be used as a journal.

Now I have these notebooks I need to figure out a use for them lol.

Thanks for tuning in.

Teesside park

I went to Teesside Park again at payday this month and you all know what that means Staples:-

I managed to get some more Martha Stewart coding labels, notebooks, a green frixion pen, and also some expressions scotch tape. I grabbed some bulldog clips that contain messages (Urgent, Copy, File, To Do) for work.

Hobbycraft
I also went to Hobbycraft where I got some scrapbook paper with a summery feel I also got some washi tape, smash books, ribbons (which were on sale for £1 each), ink pads, and some clear stamps.

WHSmith's
I also went to WHSmith's and grabbed a 2DPP, coloured record cards, fan thin pens, light blue frixion pen and the orange scotch expressions tape.

Thanks for tuning in

Metro Centre

A late post on stationery that I bought.

Me and my partner went to the Metro Centre a while ago and I just had to go to staples.

I'd heard that the Martha Stewart range was being discontinued at Staples so I just had to stock up on some of the sticky tabs. I also grabbed one of the light blue notebooks. I've kept a journal/ diary for years and recently I just don't seem to write as much as i used to when I was younger, seems life has caught up with me. So i thought for a grown up journal grab a nice Martha Stewart one while it was on offer.

For the eagle eyed Filofax spotters you will see the Violet A5 Domino, I got it on offer at £20 (I love Filofax but I haven't got the cash to pay full price (even though I may be tempted with the original in yellow). I also bought a plastic A5 folder to go in the back so I can put in sticky notes, sticky tabs, paperclips, and other things.

We went to Ikea and they had this coloured paper block (orange, white, and silver) I thought it would look nice in Jack

I also went to Paperchase and bought some more Washi Tape (I wanted the blue one with white stars but there was none in store, will have to order online). I also grabbed some pencils (just because they were brightly coloured)

Thanks for tuning in

Teesside Park

For a post Easter-pre back to work trip me and my partner went to our local retail park for a bit of retail therapy (well I did my partner just came along)

 Staples

Went into staples and grabbed some more Martha Stewart labels and a to do list, a filofax hole punch, some more Inkjoy pens, coloured paper (so I can print some inserts), some plain sticky labels, reinforcement rings, sharpie ultra fine pens, and some more ARC rings.

Clintons

Had a nosy in clintons and saw these sticky notes, I love Paris and have always wanted to go, also grabbed some pens while I was in there

Hobbycraft

I also went into Hobbycraft and grabbed some decopatch papers which I'm gonna use to cover my dividers, also found some nice washi tape, as well as some boxes for all my stickers and some ribbon (I use a lot of ribbon).

 Thanks for tuning in

First foray into Filofax template making

I decided to have a go at making my own insert for my Filofax. I decided on an ingredient list as me and my partner are always cooking or baking something and with Easter coming up its always a good thing to have to jot down the ingredients that you might need.

Thanks to Philiofaxy for the advice sheet on how to print pages for the personal Filofax they helped immensely.

As you can see I had some mishaps with printing and was close to giving up with the whole thing

My first 3 mistakes (Doh!)
So when I'd nearly given up with the whole thing I had a eureka moment and managed to print it of and make it double sided.

The finished template

This should come in handy when I'm needing to go shopping for ingredients.

Thanks for tuning in.

Papermate InkJoy - And what a joy they are!!

I was in Staples a while ago and picked up a pack of the Papermate InkJoy 500 RT, I picked these up because I liked the design.
Papermate InkJoy 500 RT - Blue
And I am so glad I did these are now my new obsession, they write brilliantly and so smoothly, seriously it's love.

This meant I then had to have a nosy at the rest of the InkJoy range and found the 700RT.

700 RT
These write brilliantly as well, it must be just the InkJoy range, these are now joining my list of favourite pens (and fair enough it is a long list, but they are definitely at the top).

So welcome InkJoy to a long hard slog of Book journal entries, bashing about in my bag, nearly being swiped at work, and being lost under the bed in a mad dash to find my work uniform.

Thanks for tuning in.

Staples Raid

Due to my partner getting a new car an impromptu trip was made which ended up with me in Staples feeding my stationery demon.

I ended up buying pens (Papermate have become my new obsession), as well as being nosy at the Martha Stewart range (which isn't as expensive as I thought it would be).
As you can see this was a massive raid, if I was allowed to keep going I could have happily cleared the store of stock.

Managed to get some great bargains (which I was surprised at), grabbed some more rings for the ARC system as well as a ruler insert (which is a new addition and wasn't in store a couple of weeks ago).

A lot of the items at least will have many uses and not just with the ARC notebooks, but in my book journal (to give it some colour), and in my Filofax (might help me remember more things if it's all bright and wonderful).

Thanks for tuning in

Paperchase/ Rymans

Just been shopping and I entered Paperchase (I should never be allowed in that shop) and I bought some new stationery to use for my notebooks.

I saw on YouTube a women making notebooks out of old cards and postcards so I saw these and thought they would be good additions to my notebook arsenal.

Thanks for tuning in

Welcome to My Simple Life

Welcome to my simple life, on here you will find me posting about anything and everything. I've tried blogging years ago during university and never really stuck with it.

I have created another blog but some of the things I was posting wasn't fitting in with the theme of that blog (mainly about the ARC system of notebooks and creating new ones), so I already had this one added and thought I would make this a blog about anything and everything, leaving the other blog to deal with the ARC's

Thanks for tuning in and be ready for a lot more posts
